Cell Phones
Cell PhonesI was sitting on a bench one afternoon, waiting for my daughter’s school bus to come along, when I realized how many people driving past me were talking on their cell phones. For the fifteen minutes that I sat and waited, I counted twenty-one people yacking a mile a minute on cell phones. Not to say that you shouldn’t drive and talk at the same time, though you shouldn’t, my astonishment was simply at the realization of how much we depend on our cell phones. What in the world was the world like before we could be in touch with someone anytime and anyplace we went? I can’t even remember what that life was like. I always have my cell phone in my purse whether I expect to be using it or not. Since having a child a few years ago, I have realized the importance at having a cell phone. You simply never know when you just may need it. Cell phones have taken over the world. We hear them ringing in the movie theater when we expect to only hear the movie. The person sitting next to your table in a restaurant is talking as loudly as can be when you’re trying to enjoy a nice meal. Even in church, a cell phone can be heard ringing on a weekly occasion. It is almost rare to find someone who doesn’t own a cell phone than find someone who does own one. Let’s say that you’re one of the few people who has refused to join the rest of the technologically advanced individuals and purchased a cell phone. Your reasons are what they are, but there are always reasons to have cell phones as well. Prior to having a child, I didn’t see a need to own a cell phone. In my opinion, there was nothing that was so important that it couldn’t wait until I was at home, at work or in person to discuss. I didn’t want people to track me down at the grocery store or in my car. That was my time with myself and I simply didn’t like the idea of being interrupted. Once my daughter came along, I felt this urgent need to have a cell phone. I wanted to know that I could call out for anything that I needed no matter what the situation was or where I happened to be. Soon after I purchased a cell phone, my husband and I discovered that a huge storm had knocked out our power. We had no electricity and our phones were dead as well. A situation came about and we needed to contact a family member. Without our cell phones, that would never have happened. There have been many instances in which I have been very thankful that I have had a cell phone. If you don’t want to bring cell phones into your life, that’s your prerogative. However, you may want to look into the cheapest cell phone plan that you can find – just because you never know when it may come in handy. For More Cellphone & Digital Camera Resources : |
